Request for expression of interest (EOI) for provision of solid waste management services (collection and transportation) for Kampala City

  1. The Kampala Capital City Authority ("KCCA") is taking steps to improve municipal waste management services to international best practice standards in the city of Kampala, Uganda. KCCA is seeking to engage competent private sector firms with practical experience and proven capacity to deliver efficient and affordable waste management services within the city under the “Kampala Private Municipal Waste Collection and Transportation Services” concession. This request for expression of interest (REOI) has been issued to facilitate competitive bidding from prospective competent firms with demonstrated capacity to deliver: quality, timely, effective and efficient municipal waste management services in each designated Waste Management Service Zone. Different firms can also form a consortium with clearly defined capacities, experience and operational territories within a Waste Management Service Zone for ease of monitoring and/or compliance enforcement to the license conditions.
  2. KCCA now wishes to invite interested and eligible private firms and/or consortium with experience in municipal solid waste collection services ("MSW Collection and Transportation Parties") to express their interest in the Kampala Private Waste Collection and Transportation Services concession.
