Invitation to bid for a framework contract for provision of collection of medical waste from eight (08) Kampala city health centres and one (01) city mortuary-procurement

REFERENCE NUMBER: KCCA/NCONS/19-20/00181

1. The Kampala Capital City Authority has allocated funds to be used for Framework Contract for Provision of Collection of Medical Waste from Eight (08) Kampala City Health Centres and one (01) City Mortuary.
2. The Kampala Capital Authority invites your sealed bids for the Framework Contract for Provision of Collection of Medical Waste from Eight (08) Kampala City Health Centres and one (01) City Mortuary.
3.  Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the Open Domestic Bidding procedures contained in the Government of Uganda’s Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003.
4. You may obtain further information from Kampala Capital City Authority and inspect the bidding documents at the address in 8 (a) from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday except Public Holidays.
5. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be obtained by interested bidders on submission of a written application to the address in 8(a) below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Ushs 200,000/- (Uganda Shillings, two hundred thousand only). The documents shall be physically collected from the address in No. 8 (a) on effective Monday 16^th September, 2019.
6.  A pre–bid meeting shall be held on Wednesday 25^th September 2019 at 11:00 am in PDU boardroom.
7.  Bids must be delivered and registered to the address in 8(a) at or before 11:00 a.m. on 16^th October 2019. All bids MUST be accompanied with a bid security of Ushs 16,000,000/= (Uganda Shillings: Sixteen Million Only) in form of a Bank Guarantee from any recognized commercial bank in Uganda. Bids shall be valid until 3^rd April 2020.  Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives, who choose to attend at the address in 8(b) at 11:30 a.m. 16^th October 2019.
