Kampala sanitation project launched
PUBLISHED — 24th, January 2017
KCCA's Executive Director Dr Jennifer S Musisi today launched a major sanitation project entailing 3 components that will tremendously boost provision of improved sanitation in Kampala City.
- Home Sanitation Visits; The citywide household sanitation assessments will guide short to long term investment in citywide sanitation improvement.
- Phone-aided service tracking and feedback system; Link the pit emptying private operators to communities and other potential clients through the KCCA call centre.
- A toll free number (080099000) through the KCCA call centre services has been established to increase public feedback and efficient service delivery.
This is part of our ambitious sanitation program for Kampala with support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, GIZ and Swiss Development Cooperation.
