UPCOMING INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENTS - MAKINDYE DIVISION

1.0  Background

Government of Uganda, through Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) procured services for upgrading   of East Konge road (1.3km) in Makindye Division. The works will involve clearing the road corridor, scarification, construction of the pavement layers, construction of the closed and open side drains, laying of the asphalt and ancillary works.

East Konge road is on a hilly and steep terrain connecting Lukuli road to Kyamula Drive and is currently in a bad state with many potholes and without adequate or no drainage at all in some sections. Reconstruction of this important link will connect the community of Lukuli parish to that of Salaama parish.

KCCA plans to reconstruct many roads in Makidye division under different programmes.

Under GOU funding construction of the following roads will commence soon

• Radio Station/ Posta Road 1.0km
• Katuuso Rise  0.6km
• Kakonge road 0.8km
• Drainage improvements on Prince Badru Kakungulu road 0.9Km
